By 2024, the total production capacity of coal mines in the region will be stable at more than 1.2 billion tons, and the coal output will reach about 1.22 billion tons to ensure a stable supply of coal.

Based on the guarantee of oil and gas security, we will continue to promote the increase of storage and production. Centering on the Ordos Basin and Hetao Basin, we will promote the implementation of key exploration and development projects such as the production increase of Sulige Gas field and the production of Bayan Oilfield, improve the effective use of proven undeveloped reserves, stabilize the production of old oil and gas fields and build production of new blocks, and strive to achieve an annual crude oil production of more than 3 million tons. Annual natural gas output remained stable at around 31 billion cubic meters. The output of coal-to-oil was stable at around 1.1 million tons, and the output of coal-to-gas reached over 3.3 billion cubic meters.

At the same time, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Energy Bureau expects that the installed capacity of new energy in Inner Mongolia will exceed 100 million kilowatts in the first half of 2024, ranking first in the country; In the second half of the year, the installed capacity of new energy in Inner Mongolia will exceed that of thermal power, and the installed capacity of renewable energy will exceed that of Sichuan and Yunnan, achieving the offside upgrade, and the installed capacity of renewable energy will rank first in the country.

In addition, in the cross-provincial and cross-regional power transmission, hydrogen energy, energy storage and other aspects, Inner Mongolia will continue to promote the construction of related projects.

In recent years, the development of Inner Mongolia's energy industry can be described as strong. It is reported that in 2023, Inner Mongolia's energy work has delivered a bright report card: coal guaranteed supply and export capacity, total installed and newly installed electricity, total installed and newly installed new energy, total power generation and export power, new energy generation, coal to gas production capacity to achieve "10 first in the country", ensuring the energy demand of 29 provinces.

In an interview with China Energy News, the relevant person in charge of the energy Bureau of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region introduced that in 2023, the coal production of the region will be 1.22 billion tons, and the long-term contract tasks of the national power coal will be 945 million tons, accounting for 36% of the total tasks of the country; The annual exported electricity of 306.5 billion KWH, ranking first in China for 19 consecutive years; Crude oil production reached 2.89 million tons, an increase of 17%. The region's natural gas output was 30.9 billion cubic meters, an increase of 0.8% year-on-year, exceeding 30 billion cubic meters for two consecutive years.

Speed up the transformation and upgrading of traditional energy industry, vigorously develop green energy, Inner Mongolia "scenery" unlimited: in 2023, the region's annual investment in new energy projects completed nearly 170 billion yuan, an increase of 33%; The new installed capacity exceeded 31 million kilowatts, the increase reached a record high. The total installed capacity of new energy reached 93.23 million kW, accounting for 43% of the total installed capacity of electric power. New energy generation reached 166.5 billion KWH, up 25 percent year on year, accounting for 22 percent of total power generation.
