秦皇岛27-3油田位于渤海中北部海域，西距天津市约200公里，平均水深约25米，发现井秦皇岛27-3-3井钻遇油层48.9米，完钻井深1570米。经测试，该油田单井日产原油约110吨，展现出较好勘探前景。

“按正常开采，秦皇岛27-3油田能够开采原油近2000万吨，提炼成汽油后能够满足百万级人口城市居民日常交通使用超10年，炼化出的沥青可铺设超10万公里4车道高速公路，相当于绕地球超过3周。”中国海油天津分公司副总经理周家雄介绍说。

秦皇岛27-3油田的发现是渤海浅层岩性勘探思路的又一次重要实践。其所在的石臼坨凸起，是渤海油田早期勘探的主战场之一，科研人员以构造勘探的思路去寻找构造圈闭高部位进行井位部署，曾在高部位发现了包括秦皇岛32-6油田在内的3个大中型油田。然而，自2011年以来，高部位勘探优势区域钻探殆尽，低部位油气富集规律尚不明确，历经多轮次构造勘探，效果并不理想。

Qinhuangdao 27-3 oilfield is located in the north-central sea of Bohai Sea, about 200 kilometers to the west of Tianjin, with an average water depth of about 25 meters. The discovery well Qinhuangdao 27-3-3 drilled 48.9 meters into the oil layer and completed the drilling depth of 1570 meters. According to the test, the daily output of crude oil per well is about 110 tons, showing a good exploration prospect.

"According to normal exploitation, Qinhuangdao 27-3 oilfield can extract nearly 20 million tons of crude oil, which can be refined into gasoline to meet the daily traffic use of urban residents with millions of people for more than 10 years, and the refined asphalt can lay more than 100,000 kilometers of four-lane highways, equivalent to more than three times around the earth." Cnooc Tianjin branch deputy general manager Zhou Jiaxiong said.

The discovery of Qinhuangdao 27-3 oilfield is another important practice of shallow lithology exploration in Bohai Sea. The Shimoluo bulge, where it is located, is one of the main exploration fields of Bohai Oil field in the early stage. Researchers used the idea of structural exploration to find the high parts of structural traps for well placement, and three large and medium-sized oil fields including Qinhuangdao 32-6 oil field were discovered in the high parts. However, since 2011, the dominant exploration area in the high position has been drilled out, and the law of oil and gas enrichment in the low position is not clear. After several rounds of structural exploration, the effect is not satisfactory.
