4月8日上午，执行第40次南极考察任务的中国第一艘自主建造的极地科考破冰船“雪龙2”号抵达香港，展开为期五天的访问行程。香港各界在尖沙咀海港城举行热烈的迎船仪式，此次是“雪龙2”号首次到访香港。中国石油亚太（香港）公司和国际事业（香港）公司有关负责同志受邀出席迎船礼，中国石油（香港）有限公司赞助支持“雪龙2”号维港巡游期间伴行船只用油。

“雪龙2”号访港期间，举办维港巡游、登船参观、科学馆展览、学校讲座等一系列环保教育和社会参与活动，惠及广大香港市民，彰显香港成为国际科创中心的信心和实力。中国石油驻港机构积极响应香港中国企业协会号召，向此次活动主办方捐赠10000公升优质低硫船用燃油，用以保障维港巡游伴行船只用油需求，以实际行动彰显央企担当。

在历时5个多月、跨越3万多海里，圆满完成我国第40次南极科考任务后，“雪龙2”号以香港作为回航返国的首个航站，意义非凡。 香港特区行政长官李家超表示，“雪龙2”号此次访港活动，将提升香港市民对国家科研成就的自豪感，加深香港市民对极地和气候变化问题的关注，支持香港向世界讲好中国故事。在香港全力拼经济、谋发展、惠民生、开启由治及兴新篇章之际，中国石油驻港机构始终牢记重大嘱托，助力香港经济、社会和民生发展。

“雪龙2”号极地科考破冰船是我国继“向阳红10”号、“极地”号和“雪龙”号之后的第4艘极地科考船，船长122.5米，排水量近1.4万吨，总装机功率23.2兆瓦，定员101人。后续，驻港机构还将组织优秀员工、青年义工等登船参观，近距离感受“雪龙2”号的雄姿。

Xuelong 2, China's first self-built polar research icebreaker, arrived in Hong Kong on the morning of April 8 for a five-day visit on its 40th Antarctic expedition. Hong Kong people from all walks of life in Tsim Sha Tsui Harbour City held a warm welcome ceremony, this is the "Snow Dragon 2" first visit to Hong Kong. During the "Snow Dragon 2" visit to Hong Kong, a series of environmental education and social participation activities were held, including a Victoria Harbour cruise, boarding visit, Science Museum exhibition, and school talks, benefiting Hong Kong people and demonstrating Hong Kong's confidence and strength as an international science and innovation center. In response to the call of the Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association, petrochina in Hong Kong donated 10,000 liters of high-quality low-sulfur Marine fuel to the organizers of the event to ensure the oil demand of vessels accompanying the Victoria Harbour cruise, demonstrating the responsibility of central enterprises with practical actions.

After the successful completion of China's 40th Antarctic research mission, which lasted more than five months and crossed more than 30,000 nautical miles, the "Snow Dragon 2" took Hong Kong as its first port of call to return home, which is of great significance. Li Jiachao, Chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, said that the visit of the "Snow Dragon 2" will enhance the pride of Hong Kong people in the country's scientific research achievements, deepen the concern of Hong Kong people on polar issues and climate change, and support Hong Kong to tell the world a good China story. At a time when Hong Kong is striving for economic development, improving people's livelihood, and opening a new chapter of governance and prosperity, CNPC Hong Kong has always kept in mind important instructions to help Hong Kong's economic, social and livelihood development.

"Snow Dragon 2" polar research icebreaker is China's fourth polar research ship after "Xiangyanghong 10", "Polar" and "Snow dragon", with a length of 122.5 meters, a displacement of nearly 14,000 tons, a total installed power of 23.2 megawatts, and a capacity of 101 people. In the future, the Hong Kong organization will also organize outstanding staff and young volunteers to visit the ship and experience the majestic appearance of "Snow Dragon 2" up close.
